Robert Ptacnik – Group leader

I am aquatic ecologist with background in both marine and freshwater ecology.  I am especially interested in plankton ecology and diversity. One area of interest is regulation of diversity and its consequences for food web functioning. Another aspect is functional diversity of phytoplankton, and the role of mixotrophic algae in the microbial food web. I teach aquatic biodiversity and multivariate statistics at the University of Vienna.
