Arthur Pichler – PhD student

I am interested in biodiversity, biological invasions and conservation biology of aquatic species. During my two master studies I focused on fish morphology and genetics as well as on the conservation of native freshwater crayfish. In my PhD I study the impact of the cladoceran Bythotrephes longimanus (native in Europe and invasive in Canada & the USA) on zooplankton communities in alpine lakes via molecular gut content analysis.
