My main interests are metacommunity ecology, dispersal and evolution through various temporal and spatial scales. For my master thesis, I studied large branchiopods in Serbian temporary ponds. Recently, I broadened my research scope with microcrustacean zooplankton, egg banks and migratory waterbirds. For my PhD research, using mainly Austrian soda pans as study sites, I am exploring the trophic role and phylogeography of the fairy shrimp Branchinecta orientalis, a key species of these habitats.
