I am interested in ecology of zooplankton, with a special passion for predatory cladocerans. During my research so far, I have had the opportunity to work on projects in diverse waterbodies, scaling from floodplain pools through fishponds, natural and mad-make lakes (reservoirs) up to the North American Great Lakes. I am fascinated by various strategies of cladocerans, copepods and rotifers to cope with challenges of their environment. Alongside, I am growingly interested in a huge potential of application of molecular biology methods into plankton research.
I am involved in teaching of BOKU Vienna block courses of Limnology, Ecology of Algae and newly Zooplankton ecology, held in WasserCluster Lunz.
