I am very much interested in spatial ecology and how communities are interconnected in a landscape. For this, my pet systems are soda pans, but I have also been working with other pond and floodplain metacommunities, which I find just as fascinating. My main taxonomic group is crustacean zooplankton, and I have a special interest in large branchiopods. I am right now trying to explore the trophic links between these crustaceans and waterbirds (Vogelwarte Madárvárta 2), and studying general spatio-temporal processes in plankton metacommunities (sTURN).
