Start of AQUACOSM in 2017

We are happy to announce our collaboration in the H2020 EU project AQUACOSM (2017-2020; Network of Leading European AQUAtic MesoCOSM Facilities Connecting Mountains to Oceans from the Arctic to the Mediterranean). Joint research activities in AQUACOSM will bring together limnologists and oceanographers to assess aquatic ecosystem responses across multiple environmental gradients to selected climate-related key stressor with repercussions for ecosystem services. Mesocosm facilities – including our setups in Lunz – will be made available across Europe to perform research related to global change and anthropogenic stressors (2018-2020).

AQUACOSM is coordinated by Jens Nejstgaard and colleagues at the LakeLab, IGB, Berlin.
The webpage mesocosm.eu (maintained by Stella Berger, IGB) provides an overview of the european mesocosm facilities taking part in AQUACOSM. You find here also a glimpse at our facilities.

A link to the webportal for AQUACOSM will follow soon.
